FAQ
What
to take with you or not to take:
Please
DO NOT bring suitcases as there is nowhere to stow them
on the yacht - soft collapsible luggage only. You will
not need a large quantity of clothing on this holiday,
swim wear with a T-shirt is usual during the day and a shirt
with trousers and jumper are adequate for evenings. Ladies
may like to take a cotton dress and shawl etc.
Early
and late in the season the evenings can be cool so might like
to consider bringing something warm to wear in the Tavernas.
Sailing
gloves are useful if you wish to be involved with us in sailing
to protect hands that are not usually exposed to the rigors
of sailing. If you wish to have your RYA logs signed that
is no problem.
Again please remember that the Mediterranean is crystal clear
and as a consequence Sea Urchins thrive. Therefore it is
advisable to wear jellies, plastic or rubber soled swimming
shoes to protect your feet. We unfortunately are unable to
provide these, but there will be ample time after your arrival
to purchase them locally.

The
sun is much more intense in the Mediterranean. The air is
clear and not polluted by smoke or fumes. In consequence there
is little filtration of Ultra Violet Rays. Use PLENTY of high
factor sun protection lotion or cream.
It's
a good idea to bring a tube of Travel Wash for rinsing your
smalls (clothes dry quickly out there thankfully).
If
you are bringing electrical equipment it should be battery
operated, as there may not be facilities for 240 volt power
equipment in most ports. We do have a 12 - 240V inverter for
charging mobiles etc, we also have a specially adapted hair
dryer for your use.
You
might like to try out some of the local activities, when available,
like scuba diving, water skiing and visiting caves (but please
check your holiday insurance covers these activities).
