Suggested Route Four

For those that like the quiet and slightly different holiday we offer the The Ambracian Gulf.

Alyki

This is the other, not so public, side to Greece; one that is eagle-nested high up the mountains of Pindos and Macedonia, and low under the tourist horizon in small coves of fishing villages that pepper the coast like tiny unspoiled gems.

The Ambracian Gulf does not pretend to have much to offer to the average tourist that seeks luxuries and excitement. Nor does it aspire to achieve the riches of the other more popular tourist destinations. The Ambracian Gulf is the humble dwelling of fishermen and farmers making a living among the rich nature of the shallow bay and the surrounding marshlands. Wildlife of all kinds are the most populous visitors here, and those who have know the land in intimate detail prefer it this way.

Here we will sail leisurely round the gulf.

Salaora

Second night - we'll visit the delightful beach of Salaora which is entirely covered in shells and is a complete wonder to behold. Then sailing on we'll moor over night in the little town off Alyki.

Third night - we will head off to Amfilochia where you will have the chance to shop and eat at the many tavernas.

Amfilochia

Forth night - sailing gently round to Loutraki. Considered Greece’s most ancient bathing resort, name of Loutraki being derived from "Thermia Artemis", the protector goddess of therapeutic mineral waters.

Vonista

Fifth night - we'll head to Vonista. Here there is the remains of a medieval castle to explore.

Sixth night - we will leisurely head back to Preveza. You will then have the time to do some last minute shopping and dine out in the town before heading home next day.

The above is purely our suggestion. If you have a particular spot that you would like to visit then we will make every effort to get you there. If you book the yacht for a fortnight then we can take in all of the above and then go on to one of our other suggestions. The choice is yours.
